6 Hair tips to help you say goodbye to unwanted frizz

1. Coconut Oil

If the all-natural, organic route is more your style – the easiest fix for humidity is some good ole coconut oil.

Coconut oil is a great moisturizer for hair because it seals in water and moisture from your leave-in, without heavy build up.

How to use it:

• Do not heat the coconut oil in the microwave.
• Use extra virgin coconut oil.
• Coconut oil begins to melt at 76 degrees.
• Apply to damp or dry hair.
• Massage the oil into the roots for a scalp treatment.
• Leave it on for at least 30 minutes.
• Use warm water to rinse the oil

2. Wax.

Ponytails and braids are humidity-friendly styles, sure but, the trick is to control those annoying little hair line frizzies.

We recommend keeping a wax stick handy. If your hair is fairly unruly, run some wax through your hair prior to braiding. If you're just worried about the hair line, slick on a bit after styling and it will stay put.

3. Wear your hair up as much as possible.

Choose a relaxed up style, especially if you're prone to extreme frizz, it will help manage frizz while still embracing its texture.

5. Don’t blast your hair with a hair dryer immediately

If you have long hair, swing it around to one side and hold the ends in one hand while you blow-dry the top, then do the same on the other side. Holding on to the hair means it can’t fly around and become frizzier.

Once you have done that, move your hand further up the hair so you can blow-dry the ends.

6. Apply a Hair mask

Just like a face mask, a hair mask is a treat that provides a specific benefit. For best results, it's important to use your hair mask correctly.
